I love Second Life… No need to deny it. I do!
But I’m becoming a little agitated by the fact that my favorite time of the week is wednesday night. Hours between 7pm and 11pm (That’ll be 10am – 2pm Linden time) are great.
BECAUSE… It also appears to be the Linden-Lab-favorite-day-and-hours-for-updates
Today I was actually pleased with the timing. Grid was going to be off from 8-10am they wrote in the Second Life Blog – perfect! Dinner hours in Denmark. When I’m ready the grid will be up and running…. or so I thought!
Now it’s just past 2pm (linden time). Grid has been off for more than 6 hours and the delay has passed it’s 4th hour, and I spent an evening waiting forever – and now it’s bedtime. No business tonight!
100 comments on the blog’s post about the update caused LL (Linden Lab) to close off the comments feature. I wonder why they do this? It’s usually considered bad style in the blogosphere to shut ppl up.
At the end of the day I hope LL is aware of this major flaw of closing the grid for a 1/4 of a day. More and more business will depend on being online in SL. And by closing it like this business gets hurt. Imagine NYSE or NASDAQ close for 2-6 every two week during opening hours???…
Well, maybe that’s blown out of proportions *lol*
