SL-online seminar end with a crash

October 30th, 2007 [17:45] by Ley Wrangler

The already prosponed guided tour/seminar through SL for the class of students at the danish IT-University ended in a disappointing crash. The University internal connections and server were not scaled to have an entire class of stundents roam around SL at once. So after just two stops on the tour, it was cancelled and abandoned leaving me alone to explain the probs to the AICR-creator Kristopher Tenk and the AvaStar chief editor Regis Braathens .. Rats :-(

Real art and false paintings on display

October 14th, 2007 [19:54] by Ley Wrangler

You have to watch out in SL too, when you’re looking for real art for your house. If you’re like me – a miserable amateur – you can get easily deceived. On the ‘Palace of Classical Paintings’ there is a nice painting called “Nightmare” by Fuessli. It’s really a remake of the 1781 painting “Nightmare” by John Henry Fuseli.

I strongly recommend all SL-gigs to take a closer look into this – something seemingly useless – but with the right development [...]

August 28th, 2007 [22:41] by Ley Wrangler

It may sound weird – especially to my many fellow lindens in Second Life. But it took me almost 10 months to get my own place in the virtual world (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Mystical%20Kingdom/30/121/27).

Mr. myself in front of the ‘Casa Wrangler’ on the beautiful Mystical Island.
It’s not difficult, it’s not expensive, it sure isn’t hard to come by… [...]
